Hair Restoration Treatment

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy for hair loss is a step-wise medical treatment in which your blood is drawn, processed for PRP, and then injected into your scalp. PRP injections may trigger natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. PRP therapy typically consists of three monthly treatments followed by maintenance treatments every 4 to 6 months.

PRP Therapy for Hair Loss FAQs

What areas/concerns does PRP Therapy for Hair Loss address?

PRP or platelet-rich plasma therapy is a form of regenerative medicine that harnesses the body’s ability to heal itself. Plasma contains white blood cells and platelets which are rich natural growth factors. For those experiencing hair loss, PRP therapy stimulates hair follicles and promotes new hair growth.

It can improve the look of:

  • Thinning hair
  • Hair loss

What should I expect during treatment?

To begin, our medical staff will draw your blood in our office as though you are having routine blood testing. Your blood will be spun the blood through a centrifuge and the PRP is separated and extracted from the rest of the blood using a highly advanced gel technology to get the highest level of platelets rich plasma about 3 to 5x the normal blood values.

The second step requires that you be under topical anesthesia. Next, a medical practitioner will inject your scalp with the platelet-rich plasma (PRP). The PRP stimulates the follicles so that your hair can regrow. There is a small amount of lidocaine added to the PRP for comfort during the procedure.

How long will my results last?

PRP therapy typically consists of three monthly treatments followed by maintenance treatments every 4 to 6 months to maintain hair growth.

Does it hurt?

PRP therapy falls at a 2 on the pain scale on a pain scale of 1 to 5. (1 – least pain; 5 – most pain.)
Topical anesthesia is applied to maximize your level of comfort.

Injectables + Fillers

We offer safe, effective cosmetic injectables and fillers, including Xeomin, Botox, Dysport, Juvederm, Restylane, and Revanesse. These treatments target specific areas of the face and body to provide volume and lift to the skin as well as correct "hollowness" with little to no recovery time.

Laser Skin Treatments

We offer a range of laser skin treatments, which address skin resurfacing (reversing initial signs of sun damage, correcting uneven pigmentation, and improving the general tone and texture of skin), body contouring and smoothing, and hair removal. Treatments include Broadband Light (BBL) Photofacials, Moxi, and laser hair removal.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a safe, non-invasive, minimal-downtime skin procedure that involves using a sharp tool to exfoliate the surface of your skin while also removing small, fine hairs. Dermaplaning yields deeper product penetration, promotes smoother skin, reduces the appearance of acne scars, and diminishes the look of fine lines.
